SEN Teaching Assistants required on a full and part time basis in Bury St Edmunds. This education setting is a school for children and young people with severe, and complex needs. The school covers primary and secondary ages, and this position is available immediately.

Are you on the lookout for a new and rewarding career within the education sector? One of our partnership schools are on the lookout for Teaching Assistants with SEN experience. This can be from a work setting or personal experience. We also find that individuals from the care sector work well within a SEN school.

There are part time and full-time hours available, depending on your requirements.

Working hours will be between 8:30 – 15:30

You will also receive full training within this role and have access to a wide range of courses to help enhance your skills and knowledge around SEN.

About the role

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or within a classroom
  • Providing general care and support to students, with a strong focus on implementing routine into their school lives.
  • Encourage the students within their education through being enthusiastic and creative.
  • Personal care maybe required in some circumstances.
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns and effectively communicating with other members of staff to work collaboratively as a team.
  • Helping students to and from their parents or taxis in the morning and afternoon to ensure they are supported from the very moment they are in school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
