Location: South Bristol
Setting: SEN & SEMH Schools (Key Stages 1–4)
Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Daily Pay: £89 – £100

Are you studying psychology or recently graduated? Looking to gain hands-on experience working with children and young people?
We are recruiting motivated and compassionate individuals to support pupils in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) schools across South Bristol.
This role is ideal for aspiring educational psychologists, clinical psychologists, therapists, or mental health professionals looking to build practical experience in a supportive school environment.
You’ll be working with pupils aged 5–16 who may experience:
Autism (ASD) and additional learning needs
Social, emotional, and mental health challenges
Behavioural needs and dysregulation
️ Communication and interaction difficulties
Role Overview
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (may vary by school)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (term-time only)
Progression: Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN/SEMH needs
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Apply psychological understanding to build rapport and trust
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support learning
- Adapt activities to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
- Create a safe, consistent, and nurturing environment
Who We’re Looking For
- Studying or graduated in Psychology (or a related field)
- Passionate about mental health, behaviour, and child development
- Calm, resilient, and patient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills ️
- Experience with young people is beneficial but not essential
