Teaching Personnel is recruiting passionate graduates with a driving licence for teaching assistant roles across North Bristol for the 2025/2026 academic year. Many partner schools are easier to reach by car, making this an ideal opportunity for drivers seeking consistent local work.

You will be supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN), which may include mental health challenges, physical disabilities, or emotional and behavioural needs. Patience, empathy, and reliability are essential. You’ll work with children and young people aged 5–16, helping them succeed both academically and personally.


Position Overview:
• Schools across North Bristol and nearby areas
• Typical hours: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (may vary by school)
Monday to Friday, term-time only
• Opportunity for a permanent contract for the right candidate
Driving licence and access to a car strongly preferred


Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 or small-group SEN support
• Work alongside teachers to support learning
• Assist with tailored and engaging lesson activities
• Support Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
• Assist with classroom routines and learning tasks


Who We’re Looking For:
• Confident drivers willing to travel to schools across North Bristol
• Experience with SEN or challenging behaviour (in any setting) is highly valued
• Genuine interest in education or child development
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Educational experience is helpful but not essential — attitude and commitment matter most

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
