Unqualified 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant
BS35
Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Daily Rate: £89 – £100

Are you compassionate, patient, and looking to make a genuine difference in a child’s life? Schools in BS35 and surrounding areas are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to provide one-to-one support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across the region.

The students you’ll support may present with a range of needs, including mental health challenges, physical disabilities, communication difficulties, or behavioural needs. This role requires a calm, nurturing approach and a strong desire to help young people reach their full potential. You’ll be supporting learners aged 5 to 16, playing a vital role in their academic progress and personal development.


Role Details

Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Full academic year
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, term-time only
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (subject to setting)
Locations: BS35 and surrounding areas
Progression: Potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate


Key Responsibilities

✅ Provide tailored 1:1 SEN support
✅ Assist with delivering a personalised curriculum
✅ Support the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
✅ Build positive, trusting relationships to promote confidence and engagement
✅ Support learning activities, routines, and classroom tasks


The Ideal Candidate

✨ Passionate about education and supporting children with additional needs
Previous experience in an educational or care setting is desirable, but not essential
️ Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Adaptable and responsive to individual pupil needs
Reliable, caring, and motivated to make a difference
