SEN Teaching Assistant

A specialist school in Bradford are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for a full time role, starting as soon as possible (when pupils return to school, TBC). The role will be on a fixed term basis until July 2020, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff.

The school caters for pupils aged 11-18 with a range of complex educational and medical needs (ASC, MLD, PMLD) and are seeking a positive role model to share the school's ethos and desire to achieve.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will undertake and lead learning, care and support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils with Special Educational Needs. You will be required to support pupils at mealtimes - including feeding and/or Personal Care.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognised Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Team Teach, Moving and Handling,  Makaton and/or PECs training
• A positive and patient approach to teaching and learning
