SEN Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School
Bournemouth
Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Full-Time

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a large mainstream School?
A welcoming and ambitious Primary School in Bournemouth is expanding this September. They are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team and support pupils across both phases.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school at an exciting stage of its development, helping to shape a positive, inclusive learning environment for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.

Assist students in accessing learning and achieving their individual goals.
-
Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and independence.
-
Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
-
Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN in a school setting (essential).
-
Experience working with needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH or Moderate Learning Difficulties is highly desirable.

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
-
Relevant training such as Team Teach, Thrive, Makaton, PECS or Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) would be advantageous.

A genuine passion for helping children and young people reach their full potential.
