Teaching Assistant – Full-Time / Part-Time Opportunities

Location: Bournemouth (BH1)
Salary: £92.63 per day
Hours: Term-time only | Full-time or part-time available

About the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary school settings in the Bournemouth (BH1) area. You will support pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Roles may include general classroom support or 1:1 and small group work, including supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and day-to-day classroom activities
  • Provide 1:1 or small group interventions to support learning and progress
  • Work with pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required
  • Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Prepare learning resources and support classroom organisation
  • Promote inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children (school, nursery, youth work, care, coaching, or similar experience considered)
  • A patient, positive, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
