Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
Location:
Secondary School, Bournemouth

The Role: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic Secondary School in Bournemouth. This full-time role involves working in the school's SEN Centre, which predominantly caters to students with Autism and those on Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). While these students access 80% of their classes in the mainstream setting, they require specialist support within the centre to help them complete tasks and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist support to students with Autism and other SEN in the SEN Centre.
  • Assist students in completing tasks and achieving their educational goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to encourage their personal and academic growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with Autism or other SEN.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of students.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • Friday: 8:30am - 1:30pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
