SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Bath
Contract: Full Time (Monday-Friday)
Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN HLTA to join a specialist resource base attached to a mainstream primary setting. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in a supportive and well‑structured environment.
About the Role
- Working within a specialist resource provision for pupils with complex learning difficulties
- Many pupils are autistic and high‑functioning, requiring tailored support
- Small class sizes (typically 8–10 pupils) with high levels of 1:1 provision
- Role includes 1:1 support for pupils who may display challenging behaviour
- Robust behaviour support plans and guidance are in place
- Position starts ASAP and runs until the end of the academic year
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has SEN experience (ideally within an HLTA or equivalent role)
- Has Level 3 in Teaching Assistance (desirable, but not essential)
- Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Is confident supporting behaviour needs with consistency and empathy
- Brings resilience, patience, and a proactive approach
- Enjoys working as part of a collaborative, supportive team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
