Location – Bath
Start Date – September 2025
Key Stages 1 – 4
£89 - £100 per day
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting the next group of teaching assistants for the 2025/2026 academic year to support and nurture a class of students with special educational needs (SEN). These needs may include mental health challenges, physical disabilities, and emotional or behavioural difficulties, making an empathetic and considerate personality a key requirement for this role. You will support students aged between 5 and 16 and play a pivotal role in their academic success.
Position Details:
- Start date: September 2025
- Location: Bath
- Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (may vary depending on the school)
- Monday to Friday, term-time only
- Opportunities to transition to a permanent contract with the school for the right candidates
What You’ll Do:
- Support students with SEN, either in small groups or one-to-one, depending on each student’s specific needs
- Work closely with other teaching assistants to support students' learning and development
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering the school’s tailored curriculum, ensuring students stay engaged and involved with the lesson content
- Support the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Build trusting relationships with students, helping them feel safe and perform at their academic best
- Assist with learning activities and classwork, providing support as needed
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with SEN or challenging behaviour, either professionally or personally, is desirable but not essential
- A genuine passion for education, looking to begin or continue your career
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- The ability to adapt your approach to suit different students and their individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
