A welcoming and supportive primary school in the heart of Amesbury are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience supporting young pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who is passionate about making a positive difference in the classroom.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
• Help pupils follow classroom timetables and daily routines
• Support children during out-of-classroom activities
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored support strategies
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
• Experience within a primary school setting is desirable
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting young learners
