Are you someone who cares about making a positive change in the lives of children with complex needs? We are currently partnered with a specialist school in Enfield, who Ofsted's recent report described their leadership team as being "passionate and ambitious about improving the life chances for young people". If this sounds like you, this may be the perfect role for you.
We are looking for an ambitious individual to join the staff at a new school in Enfield. They are a specialist school, providing expertise in social, emotional and mental health needs. This school teaches children from the ages of 7-16 years old in a holistic manner, with an inclusive and innovative curriculum. The belief that everyone has a voice that deserves to be heard is taken on-board wholeheartedly at this school through its use of a school parliament. Children's views and opinions are listened to and put into action through democratic process, inspiring young leadership skills and supporting student democracy.
They further set themselves apart through their use of teaching children mindfulness and reinforcing a "growth mind-set", the idea that everyone can achieve, regardless of needs.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be caring, friendly and charismatic.
- Have good organisational skills
- Have previous experience working in education/with SEN (Desirable but not necessary)
Day rates: £60-£75
