Teaching personnel work closely with a variety of schools in the Cornwall area, and are currently recruiting the perfect candidate to work on a 1:1 basis in a SEN setting with children of mixed ability.
This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers, teaching assistants, psychology graduates, youth workers, sports coaches, residential support workers and experienced individuals who are passionate about working with SEN children.
Your duties will include:
- Supporting children with tasks set by the teacher
- Building and maintain relationships with students and teacher
- Managing a classroom when needed
- Supporting children with SEN ranging from mild to severe
- Working with small groups and even 1:1/2:1
- Working in collaboration with other professionals such as Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists and other health care professionals.
To apply for these positions, you will need:
- Recent experience of working with children in both a mainstream and SEN setting
- A passion for education and children's development
- An approachable attitude
- Hold relevant qualifications and training
- Ideally Team Teach Trained (not essential and can be offered whilst working with TP)
- Be confident in working 1:1
- Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to take one.
