Teaching Personnel are recruiting passionate Specialist Education Teacher to work within specialist provisions in Portsmouth, supporting pupils with additional, emotional, and behavioural needs. The Role

You’ll support pupils with SEN & SEMH, to include Autism, sensory and communication needs, mental health needs, and behavioural needs, through:

• Classroom‑based teaching
• 1:1 and small‑group support
• Day‑to‑day, short‑term, and long‑term roles
• Creating and implementing individual learning plans for students
• Maintaining an awareness of safeguarding protocols at all times

You’ll help create calm, safe, and engaging environments using consistent behaviour strategies and flexible, creative teaching approaches.

About You

• Qualified Teacher with SEN/SEMH experience
• Calm, empathetic, and confident teaching across subjects
• Passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
• Strong communicator and team player
• Resilient and strong behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
