PRU rated 'Good' by Ofsted looking for a Teaching Assistant

Do you have experience dealing with challenging behaviour pupils?

Are you looking for experience to enhance your career?

As Teaching Personnel have a high demand for Teaching Assistants to offer 1:1 support for pupils from EYFS - KS1 and KS2 aged 5-11 years of age with severe emotional, social, mental health and behavioural difficulties.

We are working with one school in Withington, who cater for students who have been excluded or are in the process of being excluded and require additional support. The school believes in creating a nurturing climate catered to individual needs.

You must have experience supporting students who can display very challenging behaviour, however, this does not have to be in a school-based environment. Teaching Personnel also recruit candidates who have undertaken youth work, supported young offenders or those at risk of re-offending and those who have worked in secure or medical units. You must have the ability to build a rapport with a non-judgemental attitude and be passionate about improving the lives of young people.

Experience/ Personal Specification Required:

  • Team teach or restraint training
  • Go above and beyond expectations
  • Empathy and patience
