An 'Outstanding' SEN school in Kingsbury currently looking for an SEN Teacher

SEN Teacher

An 'Outstanding' school located in Kingsbury caters for secondary aged children with Autism and Learning difficulties.

The school is a happy, safe and stimulating place to be, where emphasis is placed on all of the teams within school working together, teaching, support and therapy - to provide a comprehensive and consistent approach to meeting the needs of all children. If you have no SEN experience then the school will appoint someone with the right personality, who can relate to children well and is a team player. The class has 3 experienced support staff (1 HLTA/ 2 TAs).

Ideal skills & attributes:

  • QTS qualified
  • Experience supporting children with Autism and Moderate learning difficulties
  • Motivation to work young people
  • Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team and relate to both support staff, teaching staff and a range of other professionals
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
  • Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours; and attitudes to the use of authority and maintaining discipline
