Teaching Personnel, a leading education agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher for a highly regarded Primary SEN School located in Southampton. The school has achieved an outstanding rating from Ofsted and is renowned for providing exceptional education and support to children with special educational needs (SEN). Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN, ensuring progress and development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions and support strategies.
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and multidisciplinary team to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure students' needs are met effectively.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, resources, and assistive technologies to enhance learning experiences and overcome barriers to learning.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and other professionals involved in the education and care of students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to students' progress, achievements, and any additional support provided.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, recognised in the UK.
  • Experience or strong interest in working with students with special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies to support individuals with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Dedication and enthusiasm for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • The ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual student needs.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to learn and implement new strategies.
  • Enhanced DBS check (Teaching Personnel can assist with the application if needed).
