The Role – Qualified Teacher (PMLD & SLD) – QTS Required
We are working with an exceptional SEN school that supports children and young people aged 2–19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This school has been rated Outstanding by OFSTED for over 21 years and is now seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher (QTS essential) to join their team.
Teaching Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, tailored lessons that meet the complex needs of pupils with PMLD and SLD

Work collaboratively with a team of teaching assistants and therapists to support holistic development

Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
-
Communicate effectively with families and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure consistent support for pupils
What We’re Looking For:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
-
Experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly PMLD and SLD
-
A deep understanding of complex learning needs and a passion for inclusive education
-
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching approaches creatively
-
A proactive, reflective, and flexible approach to teaching in a specialist setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
