Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: St Albans
Salary: Depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for permanent)
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Are you a compassionate and committed SEN Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners with additional needs?
Teaching Personnel is working with a specialist provision in Hemel Hempstead that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a setting that supports pupils with complex learning difficulties, including Autism, ADHD, and speech, language, and communication needs.
About the Role:

Deliver tailored and engaging lessons to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
-
Plan and deliver lessons in line with pupils' EHCPs, supporting both academic progress and personal development.
-
Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and life skills.
-
Provide personal care to pupils where required, including assistance with toileting, feeding, and mobility needs.
-
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff to ensure each child receives holistic support.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
-
Experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly those with complex needs.
-
Comfortable with providing personal care and committed to upholding the dignity and wellbeing of each child.

Strong interpersonal, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
-
Resilient, empathetic, and passionate about inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
