Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

School: SEN School- Catering for students aged 11-16 with severe learning difficulties

Position: Full-time, Permanent (after probation period)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:15pm

Job Description: As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored education to students aged 11-16 with severe learning difficulties. You will work collaboratively with a supportive team of staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The school values innovation and is committed to providing the necessary resources to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Collaborate with support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with severe learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
