SEN Primary School Teacher – Portsmouth
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (Paid to Scale)
Contract: Full-Time, Contract Basis
Agency: Teaching Personnel
Required: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and ability to drive

Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive SEN Primary School in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator who is enthusiastic about supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.

About the Role:

  • Full-time teaching position within a specialist primary setting

  • Plan, deliver and adapt lessons to meet a variety of learning needs

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders

  • Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment

  • Track and monitor pupil progress, ensuring EHCP outcomes are met

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential

  • Must be able to drive due to travel requirements

  • Experience in an SEN setting (preferred but not essential)

  • Strong understanding of additional needs such as ASD, SEMH, SLD or MLD

  • Good communication skills, empathy, and effective behaviour management

  • A proactive and collaborative approach to teaching
