Location: Portsmouth | Full-Time | Start Date: September 2025
Are you a passionate, resilient educator with a heart for unlocking the potential in every child? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and believe that every challenge is an opportunity for growth?
We're seeking a committed and inspiring SEN Teacher to join our specialist provisions in Portsmouth, working with pupils who have a range of complex Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team who are dedicated to nurturing the emotional, social, and academic development of young people who have often faced significant barriers in mainstream settings. With class sizes kept small, your work will be highly focused and incredibly impactful.
Your days will be diverse—no two are the same. From delivering bespoke learning programs to de-escalating challenging behaviours and celebrating small victories, you’ll play a key role in helping students build trust, resilience, and belief in themselves.
We’re Looking For:
-
A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a passion for SEN and/or SEMH education.
-
Experience (or strong interest) in working within specialist settings.
-
An unshakeable resilience and a proactive, trauma-informed approach to behaviour.
-
Exceptional relationship-building skills—you believe connection comes before correction.
-
Creativity, flexibility, and an adaptive teaching style to meet individual needs.
-
A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional growth and collaboration.
In Return, We Offer:
-
A warm, welcoming team that truly supports one another.
-
Ongoing CPD tailored to SEN/SEMH development and leadership.
-
Opportunities to influence curriculum design and whole-school approaches.
-
