Job description

Full‑Time SEN Teacher – East London

Location: Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets & Waltham Forest
Role: Full‑Time SEN Teacher
Pay: Pay to scale

We are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to support pupils with a range of additional needs across our partner schools in East London.

✔️ What We’re Looking For:

  • QTS (required) — ECTs encouraged to apply
  • Experience working with SEN pupils (ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD)
  • Genuine passion for supporting children’s development
  • Proactive, adaptable and motivated
  • Resilient and calm in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork

✔️ Classroom & Behaviour Management:

  • Skilled in delivering structured, differentiated lessons
  • Consistent and calm behaviour management
  • Ability to implement individual behaviour plans
  • Confident in using de‑escalation and emotional regulation strategies
  • Strong routine‑building and classroom structure

Requirements for All Candidates:

  • Updated CV
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
