SEN Teacher – Newcastle (NE1)
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £130–£170 per day 

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a supportive Secondary school in Newcastle (NE1) from September. The successful candidate will have experience working with pupils with special educational needs and be confident delivering engaging, tailored lessons.

Salary is competitive - between £130-£170 daily rate.

A specialism in Maths, English, or Science is desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills, knowledge of EHCPs and safeguarding practices, and experience working alongside teaching assistants and external agencies. QTS/QTLS or a relevant teaching qualification is required.

Requirements:
• Experience teaching pupils with SEN
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one - preferably child and adult 
• Strong commitment to making a positive change in the lives of young people
• Passionate about supporting pupils to reach their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
