Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent (part-time considered)

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our supportive and forward-thinking school community in Newcastle. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

  • Support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families

  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting strategies as needed

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

What We’re Looking For

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and problem-solving

  • A caring, patient, and empathetic nature

  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes and changing the lives of children

  • Experience working with SEN pupils (preferred but not essential for the right candidate)

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
