A Primary SEN school in Manchester is looking for teachers to start as soon as possible. The school works with students in KS1 and KS2 who have a variety of complex additional needs and are working at a lower level than expected for their age.
As a teacher at the school, you will work within a class of mixed abilities and needs, and cover the primary curriculum for the students you work with. You will be expected to plan fun and engaging lessons that are individually tailored to the children within the class. The children may display challenging behaviours, and although there will be support staff within the room you should have experience with this and be comfortable de-escalating any situation where that is needed.
For this role, you should:
- Be a qualified primary teacher or have extensive SEN teaching experience
- Have experience teaching the primary curriculum through KS1 and KS2 and be able to teach mixed ability students within the same class
- Have experience working with students with additional needs
- Be able to plan fun and engaging lessons
- Be able to provide feedback in line with individual learning plans to staff, parents and carers
- Be available full-time
These roles are full-time and will most likely become permanent roles depending on how well you get on at the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
