SEN Teacher Needed | Immediate Start
Special School | ️ 3 September – 23 October 2026 | ⏰ Fridays, 8:30am–3:30pm
Are you a passionate and nurturing SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can make a real difference?
We are currently seeking 1 x SEN Teacher to join a welcoming special school, supporting a Primary-aged class, with most pupils working at approximately Year 4 level.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN teacher, or a teacher with a strong interest in SEND, to provide consistency, encouragement and engaging learning experiences for pupils with additional needs.
The Role
You will be working with a small group of Primary-aged pupils, helping to create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons.
- Supporting pupils with their individual learning and development.
- Building strong, positive relationships with students.
- Creating a calm, safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Working collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team.
- Encouraging pupils' confidence, communication, independence and engagement.
- Adapting your teaching approach to meet individual needs.

- Passionate about working with children with additional needs.
- Patient, caring, enthusiastic and resilient.
- Confident adapting teaching and learning to individual pupil needs.
- Able to build positive relationships and maintain a calm classroom environment.
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Experienced in SEN/SEND education, or keen to develop their experience within a specialist setting.
Essential Requirements
A full, valid UK driving licence is NON-NEGOTIABLE for this role.
To fast-track your application, you should also have an Enhanced DBS for children registered on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
