SEN Teacher – Primary School

Location: Burnley
Contract: Full-time and long-term
Salary: £140 + (to be discussed at interview stage)
Start Date: 1st September 2026

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join our team. You will play a key role in leading high-quality provision for pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH.

You will work closely with class teachers, support staff, external agencies, and families to deliver tailored interventions and inclusive teaching strategies that make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress effectively
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCo, teaching staff, and external professionals
  • Support staff in implementing inclusive practices across the school
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN in a primary setting
  • Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach
  • A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
