KS3 Teacher (KS2 Curriculum) – ASD/Asperger’s Specialist School, near Andover
Location: Near Andover, Hampshire
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £250 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing (with potential for long-term placement)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS3 Teacher to work with pupils aged 11–14 who are learning at a KS2 academic level within a specialist ASD/Asperger’s provision located near Andover.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and empathetic teacher who is passionate about supporting neurodiverse learners and helping them achieve both academically and personally.
The Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging KS2-level lessons for KS3-age pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Adapt lessons to suit a range of individual learning needs and communication styles.
- Work collaboratively with experienced support staff and therapy teams.
- Maintain a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Track and report on progress in line with individual education plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching KS2 or KS3 pupils, ideally within a SEN or ASD setting.
- Strong understanding of autism and effective differentiation strategies.
- Excellent communication, patience, and emotional resilience.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (school not accessible by public transport).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
