SEN Teacher – Primary School
Location: Accrington
Hours: Full-Time. Monday – Friday
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience
Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are currently seeking a full-time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary SEN school in Accrington for the full academic year.
About the School:
This specialist SEN primary school caters for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school prides itself on providing a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential. Staff work collaboratively to create tailored learning plans that ensure all pupils are given the tools they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs

Work closely with a team of dedicated support staff and SEN professionals

Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment
-
Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly
-
Support pupils' social and emotional development alongside academic learning
Ideal Candidate:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting
-
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching
-
Strong classroom management and communication skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and outside agencies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
