SEN Resource Base Teacher – Mainstream Primary (B6, Birmingham)

Fixed-term contract for a minimum of one academic year, starting September
Via Teaching Personnel, West Midlands Primary branch

Are you an experienced primary teacher with SEN experience? Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a SEN resource base role in a mainstream primary school in B6, Birmingham. This role offers stability with a minimum one-year contract and the chance to support children with special educational needs within a mainstream setting. The class has 8 students and multiple TAs to support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored lessons and support to SEN pupils in the resource base.

  • Adapt teaching materials to meet individual needs and promote inclusion.

  • Manage behaviour and support emotional wellbeing following school policies.

  • Work closely with SENCO, class teachers, and external professionals.

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEPs.

  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and professional standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with SEN experience in primary schools.

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 as needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
