Teaching Personnel on behalf of one of our schools in Cardiff are looking for a FQT or NQT to cover in their Autism provision. The School will accommodate induction terms for newly qualified teacher. The senior leadership team and NQT Coordinator at the school commit to making you an excellent practitioner if you are yet to finish your NQT year. The school have worked with Teaching Personnel for a number of years, they have entrusted this vacancy with us to ensure they appoint the most suitable teacher for this role as soon as possible. You will deliver lessons to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to pupils who have a diagnosis of ASD. The nature of the needs of the children including behaviour within this school is well managed, strategies are in place and the expectations are clearly outlined.
Students have are statemented and have a diagnosis of ASD and can sometimes react in a way that requires extra attention. You will be trained to ensure you are able to manage and react in the appropriate way to this behaviour. Classes are small and students often have 1:1 support in the class to assist the teacher. To ensure behaviour is good and classes are calm and students are learning we will require someone who is able to plan well planned, differentiated and engaging lessons to include all students of all abilities and needs. The school and Teaching Personnel, as a company we provide our staff with support at interview stage, we offer CPD sessions on a range of topics to ensure teachers and support staff who work in schools are up-to-date with safeguarding training.
You will be adaptable and flexible, able to inspire and keep pupils task orientated.. You will therefore be able to quickly assess pupil's ability and will be able to differentiate effectively so that all pupils achieve the learning outcomes for the lesson.
