An Academy just outside of Ashton Under Lyne is looking for an EAL Teaching Assistant to support multiple students whose first language is not English. We are looking for someone who can make an immediate start paying £350-£400 a week.

The Academy puts a real focus on celebratory learning and ensuring students make outstanding progress, in their learning, regardless of ability, gender, social background or ethnic origin.

Their staff are supported and trained to be the best they possibly can be for the students and to support each other. This means you will be joining a strong team who will take you under their wing and help you throughout your time in this role.

The role would be perfect for any enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference while helping develop the English of multiple students. While this role may be challenging at times the benefits no doubt outweigh any negatives.

As a full time EAL TA you will be providing constant support to multiple students with EAL. Patience and clear communication skills would be ideal to help build positive relationships with the students and help progress them through their education. The Academy’s culture is instilled throughout by their values of respect and excellence meaning the students have a great attitude towards learning making it so much more enjoyable.

EAL relevant applicants would ideally be:

  • Those with experience in a community/youth work setting
  • Tutors/Mentors
  • Graduates with EAL experience

Only 7 minutes away from the M60 and 5 mins from the centre of Ashton Under Lyne with the Metrolink station the Academy is extremely well linked to the whole of Manchester.
