SEN Support/Teaching Assistant

Location: Richmond

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Duration:  Starting Feb 2021 till July 2021 at a minimum

Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm Monday to Fridays during school term time

Pay rate: GBP65 - GBP85 per day (paid on a weekly basis – negotiable dependant on experience and references)

Teaching Personnel are seeking special educational needs trained and experienced staff to work as SEN teaching assistants for a Special Need School in Hampton, Richmond. The role will involve supporting children aged 6-8 years old 1:1 with learning plans in class, therapies, specialist feeding and personal care.

We are encouraging applicants with the following training or experience:

• SEN Teaching Assistant
• Early Years
• Paediatric Care
• SEN Play Worker
• Nursing  
• Support Workers
• Makaton, PECS, TEACCH and/or sensory resources

Children in the school have a range of needs including autism, severe learning difficulties, speech and language and medical. The successful applicant will need to be confident working across with children across KS1 and KS2 classes supporting with both their learning and care.

This is a great role for those with backgrounds supporting children with special needs who are interesting in working in special education as the school provide on-going training and development.

You will have the following:

• Minimum 6 months relevant experience (stated above)
• Confidence supporting children with special needs 1:1
• Full-time availability
• A valid child DBS Certificate on the online update service (we can assist with your application)
• Residence in South West London preferably and ability to travel to Richmond daily
