SEN support

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Psychology Graduates with a passion of supporting children and looking to start a career in the education sector. We are particularly keen to speak with individuals who have taken a real interest in working with children with special educational needs.

The position is based within a mainstream primary school in Halifax, HX3 and supporting a SEN child on a 1:1 basis. The role would be very challenging but highly rewarding at the same time. The role will be to begin as soon as possible with the view of this extending in to the new year. Particular personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with Social, Emotional and Mental health (SEMH) or Autism (ASC) is highly desirable, such as an understanding of the complexities related to this condition. If you have similar experience with Team Teach or other crisis intervention you are strongly advised to apply.

Role Requirements:

• Minimum Grade C at both Maths and English GCSE
• Full DBS check completed and registered to the update service
• Previous experience with SEN in particular challenging behaviour
• Team Teach is highly desired for this role
• Be available 5 days per week
• Be highly resilient and flexible to change

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
