Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive special educational needs (SEN) primary school in Wokingham, who are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner to make a meaningful impact in a setting where every child is valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their potential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of EYFS and SEN Key Stage 2 curriculum frameworks and a creative, child-centred approach to teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop and deliver outstanding lessons aligned to EYFS and SEN KS2 programmes.

• Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of students with a range of learning difficulties.

• Create and share engaging resources that inspire curiosity and skill development.

• Implement Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies to support pupils' access to learning.

• Contribute to the enrichment curriculum through creative and inclusive activities.

• Support students through formative and summative assessments.

• Inspire and motivate pupils to develop confidence and a love for learning.

• Lead and coordinate support staff within the classroom.

• Keep up-to-date with curriculum developments and integrate new strategies into practice.

• Engage in ongoing training and CPD provided by both the school and Teaching Personnel.

• Maintain high standards for classroom routines, assessment, and feedback.

• Foster a positive and aspirational culture within the school community.

Requirements:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.

• Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly within EYFS or KS2.

• Sound knowledge of differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom strategies.

• Experience with or willingness to learn AAC techniques.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

• A passion for SEN education and a commitment to professional development.
