Location: Wokingham
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term (potential to become permanent)
Salary: Paid to scale, via Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive special educational needs (SEN) primary school in Wokingham, who are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner to make a meaningful impact in a setting where every child is valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their potential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of EYFS and SEN Key Stage 2 curriculum frameworks and a creative, child-centred approach to teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, develop and deliver outstanding lessons aligned to EYFS and SEN KS2 programmes.

Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of students with a range of learning difficulties.

Create and share engaging resources that inspire curiosity and skill development.

Implement Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies to support pupils' access to learning.

Contribute to the enrichment curriculum through creative and inclusive activities.

Support students through formative and summative assessments.

Inspire and motivate pupils to develop confidence and a love for learning.

Lead and coordinate support staff within the classroom.

Keep up-to-date with curriculum developments and integrate new strategies into practice.

Engage in ongoing training and CPD provided by both the school and Teaching Personnel.

Maintain high standards for classroom routines, assessment, and feedback.

Foster a positive and aspirational culture within the school community.
Requirements:
-
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
-
Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly within EYFS or KS2.
-
Sound knowledge of differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom strategies.
-
Experience with or willingness to learn AAC techniques.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

A passion for SEN education and a commitment to professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
