  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

✏️ The Role

As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will deliver creative, tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of your pupils while fostering a safe, engaging learning environment.


✅ Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with individual learning needs
  • Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports behaviour and engagement
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
  • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing alongside their academic development

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential)
  • Experience working with primary-aged pupils, ideally within an SEN setting
  • Understanding of ASC, SEMH, or communication needs
  • A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
