Primary SEN Teacher (Qualified)

About the Role

Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a passionate and committed Primary SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Manchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who is either experienced in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or keen to develop within this rewarding field.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs and EHCPs
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support a diverse range of SEN requirements
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
  • Track and assess pupil progress, ensuring effective outcomes for every learner
  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and wellbeing

Requirements

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience within a primary school and SEN setting
  • Strong knowledge of SEND needs and inclusive teaching practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach

Desirable:

  • Team Teach or willingness to undertake training
  • Experience working with EHCPs and personalised learning plans

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
