SEN Maths Teacher - Gorleston

Are you a Maths Teacher with QTS or equivalent, who is passionate about Maths and keeping pupils engaged in lessons? If so, our partner school in Norfolk need you!

We are proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEN provision in Gorleston, who are looking to appoint an engaging Maths Teacher (NQT, FQT or OTT).

Your role will include encouraging confidence and ensuring pupils have access to their education entitlement; you will be teaching Maths at GCSE level to pupils who display challenging behaviour and Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues (SEMH).

This is a rewarding position is unique, where no two days will be the same.

Class sizes are small and focused with approx. 6-8 pupils per class. This also includes additional support staff within the class. Smaller class sizes and additional support are in place to ensure pupils stay engaged and make good progress with their personal education programme, which parents and carers are also heavily involved in.

The Successful Applicant:

• Must be a qualified teacher with experience teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4.
• Will have excellent knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculum.
• Should either have experience of working with students with SEMH, communication difficulties or complex needs or have a strong interest and a passion to teach pupils with SEN.
• Will have QTS or equivalent
