An SEN Provision near Chelmsford are looking for additional Support
About this SEN setting;
The provision is a specialist co-educational setting for young people with severe or profound and multiple leanring difficulties, age 19 –25 years. The provision are experienced and successful in meeting the needs of students with wide-ranging strengths and needs, providing a nurturing environment where students are able to thrive and grow in independence and self-esteem
They provide a wide-range of professional development activity which combined with our supportive and child-focused culture, offers candidates an excellent opportunity to create high quality learning opportunities for the students and themselves
The Ideal SEN LSA should have a proven track record in supporting individuals with complex needs as part of a team and working positively in a demanding, multi-disciplinary environment.
The SEN Teaching Assistant role
- To support and engage with the SEN pupils in class
- Assist the teacher where possible
- Assess and track progress of pupils
- Help clean and ensure the classroom is ready for the next school day
- This is a long term, full time role ( Monday – Friday 8:45 until 15:30)
- Potential need to support pupils with their personal care
We will consider applicants that have supported children or adults with special needs in non-educational settings (residential settings and day units)
