Are you a Teaching Assistant who has worked with SEN children looking for an exciting opportunity to build on your skills and gain more experience?

Do you have experience in caring for children/adults in a care setting?

If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you! Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an SEN TA to work at a school we work closely with in Southampton. The school caters for primary aged students who have a range of needs such as Autism and Asperger's syndrome. The school is very well managed and is rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, but it does have its challenges due to the range of SEN students, making this a physically and mentally challenging role.

The successful SEN teaching assistant must:

  • Be pro active and be able to engage students
  • Be patient and can be a positive role model for children
  • Be able to use positive reinforcement when supporting behaviour difficulties
  • Have a DBS or be willing to apply for one
  • Be from Southampton or be able to commute there
