Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Bolton this September. You'll be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), PMLD, SLD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, and complex learning disabilities, helping them to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Your Role

  • Provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Help students engage with learning and develop key life skills.
  • Support communication, emotional wellbeing, and social development.
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to meet individual needs.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and positive outcomes.

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
  • A patient, positive, and compassionate approach.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A genuine desire to help children overcome barriers to learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
