Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive specialist provision in Trafford from September. This rewarding full-time role will involve providing tailored support to a pupil with SEN needs such as Autism (ASC) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) helping them to thrive both academically and socially within the school environment.

The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support throughout the school day.
- Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs of the pupil.
- Build a trusting and positive relationship with the child.
- Support communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Encourage independence and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
- Promote positive behaviour using agreed strategies and interventions.
- Assist with personal care where required.

- Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to adapt and respond to individual learning needs.

- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
