Teaching Personnel is recruiting Personal Care Support Staff to work in a welcoming, specialist school setting in Bolton, supporting children and young people aged 11–19 with a range of complex needs.


About the School Environment

You’ll be working in a supportive, inclusive and purpose-built setting designed for students with:

  • Severe learning difficulties (SLD)
  • Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
  • Autism spectrum conditions (ASC)
  • Physical disabilities and medical needs

Your Role

As a Personal Care Support Staff member, you will:

  • Provide dignified personal care (including toileting, hygiene and feeding)
  • Support students in classroom learning and activities
  • Assist with mobility and physical support where required
  • Build positive relationships with students, encouraging communication and independence
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver high-quality care
  • Help create a safe, engaging and fun learning environment

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • A compassionate and patient nature
  • Experience in care, support work, education or similar (preferred but not essential)
  • Confidence supporting individuals with additional or complex needs
  • A team player who is reliable and proactive
  • Willingness to support with personal care tasks
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Health & Social Care, SEND) are a bonus

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
