SEN Care/Support assistant job Plymouth

About the role:

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for the right individual to take on an exciting and rewarding role in a Plymouth based school.

The school caters to students aged 11-16, with complex special needs and physical disabilities. Working full time days and on a supply basis, you will be needed to help provide support for students and also be a major part of developing their social and emotional well being.

The role is highly rewarding and allows the candidate to work in a calm and patient environment, which works hard to ensure that students get the best support, so that they can have a tailored learning experience, which meets their specific individual needs.

The Successful candidate:

  • Calm, supportive and patient
  • A strong background in SEN, Physical disabilities, Learning difficulties
  • Experience with care work and 1:1 support
  • Any experience with MAPA, Makaton, Special support.
  • Willing to jump straight in and get involved
  • Have relevant qualifications

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
