Job description
If you are a person with experience supporting or caring for young people or adults with special educational needs, we may have your perfect role.
We are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to join a primary school in the Bournemouth and Poole area, working with the ages 2-11.
Students at this school are both male and female and have a range of complex learning needs such as Autism and Asperger's. These students need special support in the classroom to help them understand their curriculum but it is equally as important to assist them with making learning an enjoyable experience.
The schools ethos is to promote learning through enjoyment and they offer a meaningful and inspiring curriculum based on planned holistic learning. All students at this school will have an Educational Health Care Plan in place for their safety and development, dedicated to their personal benefit.
Duties included in this role will mainly include supporting students within the classroom in accordance to their education plans, but may also include personal care, 1:1 tuition or mentoring, moving and handling and behaviour management. Due to the nature of the role candidates should expect a challenge but be assured they are taking on something very rewarding.
If you think you are right for this role and would like to apply, please send your CV
