Job description

SEN 1:1 Tutor – Derby (DE21)

We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated SEN 1:1 Tutor to support learners in the DE21 Derby area.

This rewarding role involves providing tailored one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs, helping them build confidence, engage with learning, and achieve their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to the student’s needs
  • Support students with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Create engaging and structured learning sessions
  • Monitor progress and adapt learning strategies where required
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and professionals

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Teaching, tutoring, or support work experience preferred
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
