Position: SEMH Tutor Location: Walton-on-Thames, Surrey Salary: £20-£25 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with students experiencing SEMH challenges.
  • Develop and implement personalized lesson plans to address social, emotional, and academic needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with parents, school staff, and external professionals for comprehensive support.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEMH needs.
  • Understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
  • Ability to create engaging and adaptive lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient approach to tutoring.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
