SEMH Tutor (Faringdon)

£20–£30 per hour | Flexible Hours

Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Tutor based in Faringdon to provide tailored, one-to-one or small group tuition for students requiring extra support.

About the Role

  • Deliver high-quality tuition to students with SEMH needs, such as anxiety, low self-esteem, and low confidence.
  • Assess, plan, and deliver personalised schemes of work to meet individual learning goals.
  • Build positive relationships and provide a nurturing, supportive learning environment.
  • Encourage students to develop their confidence and achieve their potential.

Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a minimum of 3 years’ tutoring experience.
  • Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs (anxiety, low self-esteem/confidence).
  • Strong assessment and planning skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learners.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
