Behaviour Mentors needed for Derbyshire PRU

This South Derbyshire Pupil Referral Unit is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to join their team. They are looking ideally for people with experience working with SEMH in an education setting, however are willing to look at candidates from other backgrounds with the necessary transferrable skills for the role.

Sports Coaches and Art/Drama Specialists have historically worked well for this Provision and they are keen to hear from people in these fields also.

The Provision works with children 11-18 years old, who face a multitude of obstacles preventing them from attending mainstream education and so they are looking for candidates who can provide the students with a positive role-model. They need someone who is proactive and engaging, able to deal with challenging behaviour and de-escalate situations.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
